THE BEST PART OF THE DAY

After wasting the whole entire day, sleeping and slobbing around the house, the highlight of my day was going to Jo-Ann Fabrics at 8 P.M. I found a bunch of sewing goodies for my current projects which included, marked down fabric remnants, a new pair of scissors that were 40% off, materials to make a belt, striped ribbon, and some marked down rick-rack and bias tape. Too bad it is so late now. The next stop was the grocery store to pick out some ingredients for a spaghetti lunch we are hosting tomorrow for Fran. And of course, Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie. As for the rest of the day, I was going to help the neighbors move stuff to their new house but I was hiding up here all day long. It rained all afternoon and I really didn't see them moving much of anything anyway. I have been having a problem with the tension on my sewing machine and after a conversation with my Mom, I took some of it apart and cleaned it out, rearranged the way I had the thread set up, and changed the needle. All is well, for now. A funny thing happened to me this morning. I was sleeping and I woke up before the alarm went off. I forgot that it was Saturday and I had this horrible doomed feeling pass through me. I was thinking that I had to get up and go to work! I was so damned tired and comfortable in bed. Thank goodness it was really Saturday. Phew!

Blue Merle...I love this band!

Tonight Blue Merle will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC at 12:05 A.M. This is a great new band and the singer, Luke Reynolds, went to my high school!

Smokers Ruin It For The Rest Of Us!

cigarette
Today has been a real pisser. I finally called the landlords and found out that yes indeed, the new tenant they have picked for downstairs is a smoker. I don't know the degree of smoking, but I am going to assume for the worst that it is 'chimney' level. After another conversation later on tonight with the wife, who handles more of the 'business' of the pair, I just don't know where this stands. They were pretty sure we would get along with this person, but I don't see how that could be when we could be breathing in all of their rising ciggy fumes 24/7. If they decide not to rent to this person, then they will have to start all over again and then they will not have their 30 day thingy that they keep talking about. They offered to install air ionizers but I am skeptical. How could a lousy air purifier clean out a room full of cigarette smoke enough to forget this *HUGE* problem exists? Meanwhile it is going to be seeping up through our floor. I don't feel like waking up in the morning with a nose full of disgusting smoke. I don't understand why you can't smoke in public places or restaurants in this state, but yet someone can smoke in the house that I pay rent to live in? WTF? If it is your own house-fine do what you want, but when it can ruin the quality of life for others? I am just so mad. FUCK! I am trying not to think about this, but I am thinking it is going to be a night with very little sleep, yet again!

Squeeky!

This is my cat SQUEEKY!

Sunday, oh no!

I can't believe it is Sunday night AGAIN! Why? I have had a busy afternoon. That's when I got out of bed, in the afternoon. Went to have breakfast at the Birdseye Diner in Castleton. I had french toast, bacon, some home fries, oj, and coffee. We checked out our alma matter, Castleton State College, and I was amazed at the lovely new dorm and fitness center. Oh why didn't they have that when I went there? Then maybe I wouldn't be so god damn fat today, eh? We also looked around at the Village Store. That was kind of fun. Then we came back home. We went to visit our neighbors at their new house but they had made a trip to home depot. Instead I ended up hanging out with her downstairs for the past 2 hours. They are moving for good next weekend. She was running around chasing her 15 month old who gets into everything. I now smell like baked chicken for the rest of the day. I feel the urge to cook something even though I really am not very hungry.

TGIF

It's been an interesting week. Monday was job interview day...for a job that I found out that I did not get on Thursday. Things must happen for a reason. Our downstairs neighbors are moving a block away and we will miss them. Our landlords are looking for new tenants. They better not get smokers. I swear I will move back home if our apartment starts to smell like an ash tray because of this...and that is something I really don't want to have to do. I saw them showing the place to some people this afternoon. Some asshole blocked my car in when I was already late for work by parking right in the middle of the driveway. I can just see where that one would be headed. Our basement is still a disaster because of a freak plumbing mishap a few months ago. If I were the landlords I would think about getting my ass in gear to clean that shit up before showing anyone the washer/dryer hook ups. While I was at work I heard on the radio that a transformer near my house exploded. The power was out for at least a couple hours. I was so glad when I got home and it was on. I'm not sure what to do with myself right now. I need to do the dishes. Won't that be fabulous?!

Thanks for best friends!

It is so nice to have a great friend like my pal Trish! She happened to call me while I was in the middle of a crisis. I was so happy and felt so much better after an hour on the phone. And then my Mom and sister called me and I felt even better. Thanks for the phone. And thanks for the new pizza place sort of near my house and their cheese calzones!!! And thanks for my federal tax refund which came back today which so I can pay my rent for the month of May! Things always end up ok and I need to keep remembering that. Time for bed. Toodles!

WORK

Things have been sucky lately, as I have been trying to look for a new job. My hours at work have been cut down to part-time and it has gotten extremely boring. Here's something pretty funny...At work we have been seeing a wealthy business man and land owner of our community walking by. My co-worker went outside one of the first days and saw him peeing next to the fuel tank out back. Another day I saw him coming and went to peek out of the back window and saw a stream of urine shooting away from the wall. There is a senior and disabled housing community just behind there and he was obviously pointing his wiener directly at them. I can't wait until one of them sees him. Geez...He could just come in and ask to use the bathroom. My co-worker told the boss who really didn't seem to give a flying fart about it. If it were some poor bum she probably would. Almost time for American Idol and a pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie!!! Gotta go.

Shimmying Cat!

I can't believe I haven't posted in a week. What a funny night it has been. I caught our cat Squeeky shimmying across the wood floors throughout the apartment after she exited the litter box. Upon further inspection, I noticed that she had a turd dangling from her butt by a string. How that string got there is still a mystery. After she had rubbed that turd all over and hid under the bathtub, I managed to get her out and grab the turd with a paper towel. GROSS! Before all of that happened I had a delicious honey BBQ wrap from the 99. While picking it up, I encountered a man who we have named the "SLOTH" who we believe resides in the hills of West Rutland. This is a scary, scary man who has a permanent deranged look on his face and a severe staring problem. Creepy! At home tonight I made homemade marshmallows. We will see how they come out tomorrow after they have dried out. I imagine they will be delicious in a cup of the Godiva hot cocoa that my neighbors gave us for Valentine's Day. It is late now but it is Friday. Thank goodness. I think it might be time for a 1 A.M. snack- NACHOS!!! "geez Kip, stay home and eat all the chips!" Ta Ta for now!

Daylightsavingstime

It's time to turn the clocks ahead. Like I really need to lose an hour, but I sure like how it will be lighter later now. It seems like we are going to have a big storm. It is warm out and windy as hell. I have had a busy Saturday. I made visits to the local Salvation Army and didn't find a thing and the library, I can't say how great the library is enough. I just love it! And then went to dinner with my family. Saw my old art teacher from high school, and I hope he didn't see me because I really didn't feel like socializing with a blast from the past. Came home and cleaned the bathroom...Finally!!!...Sigh of relief. It looks like we are going to take a little trip up north tomorrow. Should be fun.

T.G.I.F. in advance

Yeahhhhhhh Howdy!
Tomorrow is Friday! We have to go meet with the Landlords for dinner at their house tomorrow evening to discuss a "rent increase". I just can't wait. TV viewing tonight was the Apprentice. Worked on my projects, did some dishes...my life is just too exciting.
