I'm baaaaaack.
Guatemala was so much fun! It was like being on a totally different planet than here. It was just wild! I will post some pictures eventually once we get them all on to the computer.
Did you know that some McDonald's still sell apple pies that are FRIED and not baked? They have them at the McDonald's in Xela, Guatemala. When I got home I googled them and found out that there are other fried pie enthusiasts around. There is even a fried pie locator. I found the fried pies in Puerto Vallarta about 10 years ago but didn't know if they still exist now in 2008. They do. Delicious!
On Vacation!
I'm going to Guatemala for a week! How about that! See you when I get back.
The Zipper Lady on TV
The 'Made in Vermont' story on the news was a great success! Jack Thurston did an awesome job putting together a great story about me, my heart zipper pins for Valentine's Day and recycling. Thanks so much to Jack for finding me. And thanks to Sara, the owner of Made Boutique in Burlington (which is now closed-big bummer) who pointed him in the right direction. Click here to see me on TV!
WCAX * 2/1/08 * 6 pm
I'm going to be on the news!!! I will be on the WCAX Channel 3 News on Friday, February 1st at 6 pm. Jack Thurston will be interviewing me for the 'Made in Vermont' report about heart zipper pins for Valentine's Day. I will post a link as soon as it becomes available. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't look too bad or sound stupid! I have no idea how it will be, but it sure was fun having Jack and the camera man visiting me at my house. Anyway, watch me on the news!
