Happy New Year!
Greetings from night owl central. I really am up all night. I better get to bed soon I suppose.
I hope you had a very nice New Years celebration to ring in 2008. I didn't do very much. I didn't even watch the ball drop on TV because I was upstairs talking to my sister who was falling asleep. Afterward, I went back down to start watching season 7 of the Gilmore Girls and to work on my zippers. Apparently they have been selling a little too well at Frog Hollow so I figured I better get back to work. I have been taking a little vacay from them for a while.
I had the chance to watch the ball drop in person in January of 2002 when I won a trip to NYC on the radio that year. It was pretty cool. Although the ball looked much smaller from where I was standing than it does on TV. It was right after September 11th and I was more interested in getting to the Trade Center site to see how it all was. It was very sad. I was happy to expore some of the city since I had never been before. We were hardly able to scratch the surface on that short trip. I can't believe that was already 6 years ago.
Anyway. I noticed that some people found my blog while googling about mothball smells. I still remember the horror of having to go around the outside of the apartment house where we lived to pick up all of the nasty mothballs that my landlord decided would be cool to put around to get rid of skunks that were taking up residence under the porch or in the basement or wherever. Ha Ha. The smell got sucked into the house and was making me ill. All of my clothes reeked like old people. Anyway. My sister became involved in a similar predicament in the house where she lived this fall as well. All of her food that she brought home tasted like the fool things. We had to tell her to stop bringing food back here because we didn't want it. A lot of the clothes my Mom washed of hers still stink. So this year when you are thinking about mothballs, JUST DON'T!
Do you make New Years resolutions? I don't. In fact I never do because I am sick of listening to people whine about how they always break them soon after. I have some goals for the year and I know some things that I have to do, but that is as far as I go. I hope you are successful in all of your plans and endevors. Sooooooo, have a fabulous year! Goodbye 2007. Hello 2008.
